Cutera Laser Genesis

$350 Full Face

Laser Genesis is a gentle, non-ablative laser treatment that delivers consistent skin improvement with no downtime. Using a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, it works by producing thousands of low-energy pulses of warmth deep within the dermis—stimulating collagen production, reducing redness, and refining skin texture without disturbing the surface of the skin.  It is one of the most comfortable and accessible laser treatments available, making it an ideal entry point for patients new to laser care and an excellent maintenance treatment for those already on an active skin regimen.

How It Works

Laser Genesis delivers energy just below the skin’s surface, heating the upper dermis to a precise temperature. This controlled warmth triggers the body’s natural collagen-building response while simultaneously targeting the microscopic blood vessels responsible for diffuse redness and flushing.

What It Treats

Laser Genesis is particularly well-suited for patients dealing with redness, rosacea, and diffuse facial flushing.  It also improves skin texture by reducing the appearance of enlarged pores, softening fine lines, and fading acne scars. Patients with active or chronic acne benefit from its ability to reduce inflammation and target the sebaceous activity that contributes to breakouts. Because the 1064 nm wavelength is safe for all skin tones, Laser Genesis is one of the few laser treatments appropriate for patients with darker skin who may not be a candidate for more aggressive resurfacing options.

What to Expect

Treatment takes approximately 30–45 minutes and requires no numbing or preparation. The sensation is often described as a warm, gentle heat moving across the face.  There is no discomfort, redness, or recovery and patients can apply makeup and return to all normal activities immediately.

Results

Results from Laser Genesis are cumulative and build meaningfully with each session. Most patients notice an initial improvement in skin radiance and a subtle reduction in redness after the first treatment, with more significant changes in texture, pore size, and tone becoming apparent after 3–5 sessions. A series of 6 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results, after which monthly maintenance sessions help preserve and continue to build on the improvement.
